The fact that more and more birth defects are being discovered.
I was born with a chromosome abnormality, the existence of which was discovered when I was a toddler, and was discovered in me when I was 23. I've known since I was 7 that I have a form of autism, and there are a few other diagnoses, but just knowing that I have this specific abnormality makes it so much easier for me to understand myself.
